The Archdiocese of Aracaju ( Latin : Archidioecesis Aracaiuensis ) is a Roman Catholic archdiocese based in Aracaju, Brazil, in the state of Sergipe .

The diocese was founded on January 3, 1910 by Pope Pius X from the Archdiocese of São Salvador da Bahia . With the establishment of the two suffragan dioceses Estância and Propriá by John XXIII. on April 30, 1960 the diocese was raised to the archbishopric.
