Manuel Mireles Vaquera

Manuel Mireles Vaquera (born January 11, 1929 in Las Nieves (Mexico) ) is a Mexican Catholic clergyman and emeritus prelate of El Salto .

Life

Manuel Mireles Vaquera was ordained a priest on May 29, 1953 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Durango and titular bishop of Casae Calanae on October 16, 1982 . The Apostolic Delegate in Mexico , Girolamo Prigione , donated him episcopal ordination on December 7, 1982 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Antonio López Aviña , Archbishop of Durango, and Luis Rojas Mena , Bishop of Culiacán .

On April 28, 1988 he was appointed coadjutor prelate of El Salto and after the death of Francisco Medina Ramírez ' OCD he succeeded him on October 13 of the same year as prelate of El Salto.

On September 28, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
