Mapaiso de las Piedades is a town in the Santa Cruz Department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Mapaiso de las Piedades was the third largest town in the canton of Cotoca in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) of Cotoca in the province of Andrés Ibáñez and is located at an altitude of 383  m in a north-easterly direction outside the city limits of Santa Cruz , the capital of the department. With effect from the 2012 census, Mapaiso de las Piedades is no longer listed as an independent locality, but has now become either a district of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra or the city of Cotoca .
