Mara Laue

Mara Laue (born July 7, 1958 in Braunschweig ) is a German writer . She has already published more than 50 novels and over 100 short stories , including in the genres of fantasy , science fiction , crime and thriller . Sometimes she writes under the pseudonyms "Mara Sheridan" or "M'Raven".

Life

Laue was already writing stories at the age of 12. After finishing school she completed an apprenticeship as a draftsman . She also completed other degrees in accounting, electronic data processing and as a foreign language secretary, before setting up her own typing office in 2003 , which she gave up again to work exclusively as a writer.

Create

Mara Laue brought out her first own lyric work in 1999. In 2004 she began to write seven stories for the Bastei publishing house in the Schattenreich series of novels . She has also published non-fiction articles and poems in anthologies and fanzines . Laue, who has been a professional writer since 2005, was a co-author of other series of novels - u. a. on the science fiction series Sternenfaust and Rex Corda . She has also been active as an author of theatrical productions since 2008, her play Crashed was placed at the Sauerland Theater Play Prize 2012.

Mara Laue is a member of several authors' associations, including a. in the Syndikat , with the Murderous Sisters , DELIA and in the Fantastic Author Network (PAN). She also leads correspondence courses and workshops for creative writing and writes biographies, novels and company chronicles as a ghostwriter . She also works part-time as an artist and photo artist and regularly shows her works in exhibitions.

She lives and works on the Lower Rhine.
