Marc Berenbeck

Marc Berenbeck (* 31 January 1976 ) is a former roller hockey player and current coach of RSC Cronenberg and the German Roller Hockey - National Team .

Success as an athlete

As a teenager, Berenbeck already played for the RSC Cronenberg and achieved various successes. The goalkeeper won the bronze medal at the 2004 European Junior Championships in Wuppertal. In the men's area he was able to book seven German championships (between 2001 and 2012) and six cup wins with the RSC Cronenberg. Internationally he gained experience in the national team as well as in the European Cup of club teams.

Coaching career

Berenbeck also worked as a trainer at an early stage. In addition to his long-term work for ERG Iserlohn, he was also given responsibility for the national junior team. A serious incident with cardiac arrest , which he overcame quickly and well, occurred during a break in the game for third place at the U20 European roller hockey championship in 2012. Berenbeck took over as Sven Steup's successor at the beginning of the 2014/15 season together with Jordi Mollet the sporting direction of the record champions RSC Cronenberg. Since November 2013 he has also been in charge of the men's national team, which he accompanied to the European Championship in Alcobendas , Spain in July 2014 (4th place) and is currently preparing for the 2015 men's roller hockey world championship in La Roche-sur-Yon , France .
