Marc Metzger (born April 6, 1973 in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler ) is a German comedian . He appears as "Dä Blötschkopp" in the Cologne carnival .

career

Metzger was born in 1973 in Ahrweiler , grew up in Remagen - Unkelbach and attended the grammar school of the Franciscan Sisters of Nonnenwerth on the Rhine, later the vocational school in Cologne and the technical college in Gelsenkirchen . He did an apprenticeship as a publishing clerk and studied event management .

Metzger began acting at the age of seven. At the age of 14 he stepped on stage alone at the carnival for the first time. Today he works as a presenter and comedian . He is one of the most sought-after artists in Cologne's carnival and sometimes performs up to 300 appearances per session.

Health problems

In December 2012, Metzger announced that he had had multiple sclerosis since 1999 . At the beginning of 2013, Metzger canceled all appearances for the 2013 carnival session in order to receive inpatient treatment for burnout . As a result, he was forced to cancel around 220 appearances. He returned in autumn 2013, including in the WDR's Wiwaldi Show .
