The Wiwaldi show was an entertainment show of the WDR television .

history

The Wiwaldi Show developed from part of the show Zimmer frei! , in which Martin Reinl and his dolls took over the talk show for a few minutes and interviewed a prominent guest. On May 24, 2016 it was announced that the entertainment program would not continue after five seasons aired.

Special feature of the broadcast

The show was particularly distinguished by the fact that puppeteers included their puppets in a talk show in such a way that they practically come to life. In contrast to other puppet shows, the target group included young people and adults.

Shipment process

The basic process was always similar: there were two guests. The doll Wiwaldi played an intro-sketch with one of these guests. Thereupon the audience was greeted by Wiwaldi and the doll Charming Traudl. The reserved chairs for the doll couple Flönz were always empty. A rehearsed sketch explained why the Flönz couple had not made it to the show on time again. After that, Wiwaldi's first guest was called on stage and interviewed. Usually one or more other dolls appeared. Often it was the cockroach who, as the caretaker of the show, kept an eye on things. This cockroach then left the stage because behind the stage the puppets Horst Pferdinand and Charming Traudl were rehearsing dangerous circus numbers at a loud volume.

In between, the couple Flönz reappeared in another clip, trying to get to the site of the Wiwaldi show. Then the second guest was brought onto the stage with the first and interviewed by Wiwaldi. Both guests then had to compete against each other in a game. At the end the puppets and the guests sang a song together. In the outro sketch you could see that the Flönz couple arrived when the show was over. Only in episode 27 did the Flönz couple reach the show on time and make an appearance there.

The puppeteers and their ideas

The puppeteers were Martin Reinl (including Wiwaldi and Horst Pferdinand), Carsten Haffke (including Kakerlak) and Iris Schleuss (including Charming Traudl). Martin Reinl, Paulus Vennebusch u. a.
