Jens Riewa
Jens Riewa (born July 2, 1963 in Lübbenau ) is a German presenter and news anchor for the ARD - Tagesschau and the NDR Hamburg Journal .
Life
Jens Riewa grew up in Lübben in the Spreewald , where he graduated from high school in 1982. He then enlisted in the National People's Army for three years . After his studies Riewa technology of construction on the road high school in Dresden had broken, he trained as an air traffic controller . This was followed by a two-year intensive speaker training and moderation training at the Berliner Rundfunk . In 1988 he passed an aptitude test as a newscaster on television in the GDR , and he was also a presenter for the children's program Wie About ...? active. Then he worked for the youth radio DT64 . After speaking for radio plays, features, documentaries and advertising, the then chief spokesman Werner Veigel brought him to the Tagesschau in 1991 - Riewa was initially heard there as an off-speaker , and then from 1994 as an on-speaker. Since September 6, 1995 he has been speaking for the 8 p.m. edition of the Tagesschau.
In 1994 Dieter Thomas Heck hired him as a presenter for the Deutsche Schlagerparade , because Birgit Schrowange gave up the presentation of this show after a year. The show that ran in the third programs was the ARD edition of the ZDF hit parade at the time . In six years, Riewa hosted over 67 episodes of this format. In 1996 and 1997 he presented the German preliminary decisions for the Eurovision Song Contest . Since 2013 he has been the co-moderator of the annual award of the order against the seriousness of the animals of the Aachen Carnival Association (as of 2019). For three years he presented the travel magazine Wunderschönes Brandenburg for the ORB .
In 2005 he played himself as a newscaster in the TV episode Adelheid and Her Murderers - Seven in One Stroke . Since 2012 he has been working again as one of the main moderators at the Hamburg Journal. In 2014 and 2015 he also took on a role in the WDR radio play The Cruise . Riewa also moderates events and major events, works as a model scout and is the owner of a company for flying camera systems.
Riewa has been fighting legal claims of being homosexual for years. In 1998 he demanded 50,000 DM damages from the Querverlag , because in the book Out! 500 lesbians, gays and bisexuals were listed as homosexual by Karen-Susan Fessel and Axel Schock . Out of court, an agreement was reached on the payment of five thousand DM, as the originally requested sum would have driven the small book publisher into ruin.
In 2002 he was portrayed in the newspaper Bild as a lover of the singer Michelle and quoted with a corresponding saying, which she denied.
