Marcel Weinum (born February 5, 1924 in Brumath , † April 14, 1942 in Stuttgart ) was an Alsatian in the resistance against National Socialism .

Marcel Weinum founded the resistance network Die Schwarze Hand (French: La Main Noire ) with fellow students in Strasbourg in September 1940 . The members were mainly young people between the ages of 14 and 16.

On May 8, 1941 Weinum blew up the Mercedes of the head of the civil administration of Alsace , Robert Wagner , with a hand grenade in a restaurant parking lot in Strasbourg. A few days later he was arrested with his companion Ceslav Sieradzki on the Swiss border while trying to travel to Switzerland and then imprisoned in Kehl .

Hitler ordered a show trial , whereupon a " special court " met in Strasbourg . On March 31, 1942, Marcel Weinum was sentenced to death and transferred to Stuttgart, where he was beheaded on April 14, 1942 . His grave is in the Polygons Cemetery in Strasbourg.
