Marcia Brown
Marcia Joan Brown (born July 13, 1918 in Rochester , New York , † April 28, 2015 in Laguna Hills , California ) was an American author and illustrator of children's books .
Life
Marcia Brown could not become a doctor for financial reasons , so she decided to become a teacher . She studied at New York State College for Teachers and taught at Cornwall High School . After three years she gave up teaching, moved to New York City and became a children's book author and illustrator.
