Marco Hirschberger (born March 26, 1996 in Weiz ) is an Austrian ice hockey player who has been with the EC Graz 99ers since 2012 and has also been a professional player in the Austrian ice hockey league since the 2013/14 season .
Career
Hirschberger began his career as an ice hockey player with his hometown club, the Weiz Bulls, and came to Graz in 2012 as a junior player for the 99ers , where he was initially used in the U-18 team with play in the EBJL . In his first year at the new club, in addition to the award as the best U-17 (U-18) scorer with 109 scorer points, he was also able to receive the Austrian U20 national championship title with the U20 team, although he was only in relatively few games had been used. However, this changed with the following season 2013/14, in which he was not only in the U18 squad, but also made 23 appearances in the Austrian U20 league, the EBYSL . His performance was also noticed by the professional team, which is why he made his professional debut in the highest Austrian ice hockey league this season . Also in the season 2014/15 , the native of Weizer is in the professional squad of the EC Graz 99ers, although so far (as of November 26, 2014) he has not played in the current season. Instead, he was already very offensively active in the club's U20 team, for which he had ten goals and twelve assists in 24 league games before he moved to Kapfenberg on loan to the Kapfenberg Steelers at the beginning of 2015 .
