Marco Liefke (born July 15, 1974 in Schwerin ) is a former German volleyball player .

From 1987 to 1992 Marco Liefke was a volleyball player at SC Traktor Schwerin and Schweriner SC . He then played for Moerser SC ( German Cup Winner 1993), Noliko Maaseik (Belgian Champion and Cup Winner 1998), SCC Berlin ( German Cup Winner 2000 and German Champion 2003 and 2004), Salento D'Amare Taviano in Italy , Poland Jadar Sport Radom and most recently with Generali Haching ( German Cup Winner 2009 and 2010).

Marco Liefke has been a German national player 225 times . In 2002 he developed cardiac arrhythmias that almost ended his sports career. But after a successful heart operation in November 2002, Marco Liefke made a great comeback by winning the German championship in 2003.

Marco Liefke is the state trainer in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania today.
