Marco Rentzsch (born January 23, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German ice hockey player who played in the DEL as a defender at the traditional Berlin club BSC Preussen Berlin , Berlin Capitals and EC Bad Nauheim . In 1991 he was active ten times for the German national ice hockey team . Most recently he played and coached ECC Preussen Juniors Berlin in the Regionalliga Nord-Ost .
Career
Marco Rentzsch has also been a coach since the 2006/07 season. His main task is to act as a trainer. If necessary, however, he is also active as a player-coach and thus achieved a total of 20 games and four goals in the 2007/08 season. Marco Rentzsch ended his playing career by winning the regional league championship in the 2008/09 season. The reasons were on the one hand the uncertain summer break of the ECC and the increased commitment as a coach in the club. He had to end his career due to renewed financial problems of the ECC Prussia.
In order to maintain ice hockey, however, he was drawn to the Bayern league team EV Pfronten for a few games and he also coached the Sachsen league team of the Berlin ice skating club .
