Marco Stark (born July 9, 1981 in Worms ) is a former German soccer player and current coach .

Career

Starting in 1986 with the youth of SV Normannia Pfiffligheim , he switched to the youth of Wormatia Worms in 1987 , where he stayed until 1994. He then went to TSG Pfeddersheim for two years and then joined the youth team at 1. FC Kaiserslautern . There he joined the amateurs in 1999 and made it to the professional squad for the 2000/01 season . He played two games in the Bundesliga , on September 24, 2000 against Hansa Rostock and six days later against Energie Cottbus . He then moved to 1. FC Saarbrücken . There he played in the 2001/02 season. Between 2002 and 2004 he was a Wacker Burghausen player .

From 2004 he was part of the Sportfreunde Siegen team . After a very successful time with the climax, the promotion to the second Bundesliga, a time with injuries followed. Stark then failed to join the regional league squad and moved to SV Sandhausen for the 2007/08 season . With the Electoral Palatinate, he qualified for the newly created 3rd division . He played a total of 40 games for the team and switched to league rivals FC Erzgebirge Aue during the 2008/09 winter break . For the violets he was then in 16 games in the second half of the formation, his first goal for his new employer he scored against Kickers Emden . For the 2010/11 season, Stark moved back to his hometown club Wormatia Worms . In September 2012, his move to SV Waldhof Mannheim was confirmed. On December 3, 2012, SV Waldhof Mannheim announced that the contract with Stark would be terminated. Stark only made three short appearances with the blue-blacks. In the summer of 2014, Stark ended his career at Wormatia Worms, where he was employed as a coach for the U19s. He now trains the club's second team.
