Marco Tamburini (born May 30, 1959 , † May 29, 2015 in Bologna ) was an Italian jazz trumpeter .

Live and act

Tamburini, who was active in the Italian jazz scene from the 1980s, worked a. a. with Guido Manusardi , Phil Woods , Claudio Fasoli , Stefano Bollani and Jimmy Cobb . In 1991 he recorded his debut album Thinking of You , on which Marcello Tonolo (piano), Piero Leveratto (bass) and Alfred Kramer (drums) participated. He played u. a. also in the formations The Boparazzi, Keptorchestra, Collettivo Soleluna, Grande Orchestra Nazionale Di Jazz (AMJ), Italian Trumpet Summit and in the Lydian Sound Orchestra . In the field of jazz he was involved in 61 recording sessions between 1987 and 2013.

Marco Tamburini taught as professor for jazz trumpet at the Conservatorio di Musica "Francesco Venezze" in Rovigo .
