Career

After Marcus Banks played for the Dixie State College of Utah and the University of Nevada between 1999 and 2003 , he was elected 13th in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies , but passed directly to the Boston Celtics (traded). In Boston he was under contract for two and a half years and came to 191 NBA games during this period . During the 2005/2006 season, Banks moved to the Minnesota Timberwolves . By the end of the season he had 40 appearances and averaged 30.7 minutes of play time as well as twelve points and 4.7 assists. In the summer of 2006, Banks moved to the Phoenix Suns as a free agent , where he was under contract until 2008. After further positions in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors and the New Orleans Hornets , he moved to the Idaho Stampede in the NBA Development League in the summer of 2012 . In November 2012, Banks moved to Panathinaikos Athens . With Jason Kapono and Roko Ukić , he met two actors with whom he had previously played in Toronto. With Panathinaikos, Banks was able to win the Greek club cup, but was removed from the squad before the start of the play-offs to clear a place for his compatriot Richard Guinn . After playing for SLUC Nancy Basket in France , he moved to al-Gharafa Sports Club in Qatar via the Lebanese Champville SC in 2016 , where he was last active.
