Marek Kausich (born June 23, 1976 in Bratislava , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak football player on the position of defender . He currently plays at SC Ritzing in the 2nd division in the middle of Burgenland.

Career

Kausich began his career in Bratislava at FC Petržalka in 1898 , where he was only used in the youth teams at first. He then moved to Austria to the lower-class clubs SV Zemendorf and SV Edelpute in Burgenland . He left the latter in 1997 to transfer to SV Mattersburg . After more than a decade with the Mattersburgers , with whom he a. a. was able to celebrate the championship title in the Regionalliga Ost , as well as in the first division and also made it to the finals of the ÖFB Cup , he returned to his homeland in 2006, where he was signed to ŠK Slovan Bratislava . His stay there lasted just six months before he signed a contract with SC Neusiedl am See . Half a year later he decided to end his football career in July 2007. But his career ended only lasted a year. During the summer break before the 2008/09 season he signed a contract with SC Ritzing in the 2nd division in the middle of Burgenland. There he played for the first team until 2013 and then until 2014 for the second team, where he sometimes acted as a player-coach. A scandal ensued in early April 2014 when he physically attacked a referee after a game and therefore lost his coaching position.
