Marek Marczak (born February 17, 1969 in Piotrków Trybunalski , Poland ) is a Polish clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Łódź .

Life

Marek Marczak received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Łódź on June 11, 1994 . From 1996 to 2002 he studied at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Marczak has been a theology lecturer at the Łódź seminary since 2004. At the same time he performed other tasks in the archdiocese. From 2004 to 2013 he was Chairman of the Committee for the Apostolate of the Laity. In 2013 he became rector of the Łódź seminary.

On 28 February 2015 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Leontium and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Łódź. The episcopal ordination donated him on April 11th of the same year Marek Jędraszewski , Archbishop of Łódź. Co-consecrators were Archbishop Celestino Migliore , Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, and Archbishop Emeritus of Łódź, Władysław Ziółek .
