Margaret Peterson Haddix (born April 9, 1964 ) is an American writer who writes books for children and young adults.

Life and family

Margaret Peterson Haddix was born on a farm in Ohio. Her father was a farmer and she read a lot when she was a child. After completing her studies, she carried out various activities related to writing.

She is married and lives in Columbus , Ohio with her journalist and editor husband Doug and their two children Meredith and Conner . She has already received numerous awards in the United States for her literary work . She grew up on a farm near Washington Courthouse, Ohio, where her family had lived since the early 19th century. After graduating from Miami University of Ohio in 1986 , she worked in various professions, as a journalist for a daily newspaper in Indianapolis , lecturer at a college and as a freelance journalist in Danville , Illinois .
