Margarete Schuchmann
Margarete Schuchmann (born October 2, 1893 in Königsberg (Prussia) , † 1991 in St. Georgen in the Black Forest ) was a German pianist .
Life
Trained as a pianist and harpsichordist , she gave concerts from 1920 to 1944 in Königsberg and East Prussia . Since 1920 she has played in the piano trio with the violinist August Hewers and the cellist Richard Klemm . Since 1928 at the Institute for Church and School Music at the Albertus University in Königsberg , she was appointed professor in 1939 . On November 19, 1944, she gave a concert for the “factory workers and hospital inmates” in the New Theater in Königsberg .
From 1945 to 1955 she taught and performed in Marburg . Since 1976 she lived in St. Georgen.
