The Margorabbia is an approximately 19 km long tributary of the Tresa in the province of Varese in Lombardy , Italy . The Margorabbia rises near Valganna . Thereafter, the Margorabbia forms a number of small lakes, including Lago di Ganna and Lago di Ghirla . Near Cunardo , the river flows underground to Ferrera di Varese through the caves Pont Niv , Antro dei Morti , Grotte di Villa Radaelli and Grotte del Traforo . The Margorabbia has a large number of tributaries. The largest are the Rancina and the Gesone from the left and the Boggione , the Lisascora and the Grantorella from the right .
