Assumption of Mary (Peckelsheim)
The Catholic parish church of the Assumption of Mary is a listed church building in Peckelsheim , a district of Willebadessen , in the Höxter district , in North Rhine-Westphalia .
History and architecture
The church has been a parish since the city was founded in 1318 . Three bays and the off-axis tower with a baroque dome have been preserved from an irregular, repeatedly rebuilt gothic pillar basilica . The tower also served as a defense tower . The building history is unclear in detail. The core of the building dates from the beginning of the 14th century. The central nave with pointed arched pillar arcades was originally flat-roofed and was later provided with Gothic rib vaults. In the 15th century rip curved side chapels were added on the north side, the formerly called Spiegel'sche grave chapel on the south side, the Anna Chapel , it was the nobility dynasty of Twiste built. Today the chapel is called the War Memorial Chapel.

- A tabernacle from the middle of the 15th century
- A wooden triumphal cross from the end of the 15th century. The old version was exposed in 1952.
