Maria Anna Countess of Thun and Hohenstein (born November 27, 1698 , † February 23, 1716 in Vienna ) was Princess of Liechtenstein .

biography

She was born on November 27, 1698 as the daughter of Johann Maximilian Graf von Thun and Hohenstein and his wife Maria Theresia Countess von Sternberg .

On February 3, 1716, at the age of 18, she married the heir to the throne of Liechtenstein, Prince Josef Johann Adam , who later became Prince von und zu Liechtenstein, after his first wife Gabriele Princess of Liechtenstein died on November 7, 1713, without a male heir to leave behind.

However, just three weeks after the marriage, on February 23, 1716, Princess Maria Anna also died in Vienna. The marriage remained childless, Maria Anna had not even visited the Liechtenstein family castles in Feldsberg or Eisgrub in Moravia. However, her body was transferred to the Liechtenstein family crypt in Wranau and buried there. Her grave is no longer preserved and is considered lost.
