Maria Gruber

Maria Gruber (* 1946 in Gaspoltshofen ) is an Austrian painter , graphic artist and glass and object artist.

Live and act

Gruber enjoyed a technical education in etching with Elfriede Trautner , in lithography with Alfred Billy as a guest student at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design Linz and in painting in Salzburg with Raphaela Toledo .

At first she devoted herself to the production of lithographs and watercolors, later she made drafts for tapestries and glass windows, glass objects, sculptures and garden installations were created in collaboration with the glass painting workshop in Schlierbach Abbey .

She is a member of the international group of artists Group 30 , the artists' association Club of Encounter and the Innviertler Künstlergilde . Participation in international painter and graphic artist weeks and a lively exhibition activity at home and abroad are the basis for recognition as a glass artist. She lives and works in Gaspoltshofen and Bad Ischl .
