Maria Katharina Moser (born February 15, 1974 in Vienna ) is an Austrian social ethicist , theologian and director of Diakonie Österreich since September 2018 .

Life

Maria Katharina Moser was born in Vienna in 1974 and grew up in Eferding . After graduating from the Stiftsgymnasium Wilhering , she studied both Catholic and Protestant theology in Vienna and intercultural women's studies in Manila. In 2005 she was due to a dissertation on victims between affirmation and denial: feminist ethical analysis into a political and theological category at the University of Vienna to Dr. theol. PhD.

In 2007 Maria Katharina Moser started working as a television journalist for ORF , a. a. for the programs Orientation , What I Believe and After Work . This was followed by the step into the parish office and Maria Katharina Moser completed the vicariate . From September 2016 to August 2018 she was pastor in the Evangelical Parish AB Wien- Simmering .

On September 1, 2018, Maria Katharina Moser succeeded Michael Chalupka as Director of Diakonie Austria .

On December 15, 2019, she was an interviewee in the TV show What I think about the question "What about the light in the dark?".
