The Mariahilfkapelle is a Roman Catholic chapel in the Unterfaggen district in the Faggen municipality in the Landeck district in Tyrol . The chapel is under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

The previous building was cartographically from 1856 and was later demolished due to the road widening. The chapel was built as a new building from 1977 to 1979 according to the plans of the architect Karl Lochbihler.

Architecture and equipment

The chapel building comprises a hall with a steep pitched roof . The tower is on the east side of the facade and has a steep pyramid roof. The concrete glass windows were made by Engelbert Gridle in 1977 and are located to the southwest on the entrance facade.

The altar table and a crucifixion group were made by the sculptor Kassian Erhart . There is a figure of Christ on the scourge column from the 17th century and reliquary busts of Isidore and Notburga and a baroque altarpiece of the Assumption from the 18th century.
