Marianne Jehle-Wildberger
Marianne Jehle-Wildberger (born May 25, 1937 in Schaffhausen ) is a Swiss historian . From 1970 to 2000 she taught history and German at the Sargans Cantonal School and at the Interstate Matura School for Adults (ISME). As a publicist, she stood out above all with studies on church and women's history.
Life
Marianne Jehle-Wildberger grew up as the daughter of the Old Testament scholar and religious scholar Hans Wildberger in Wilchingen , Lucerne and Zurich . She studied history, German and church history at the Sorbonne and at the University of Zurich . From 1965 she lived as the wife of the theologian Frank Jehle in Grub AR , from 1970 in Trübbach SG and from 1982 in St. Gallen , where her husband held the university priesthood.
She was involved in women's work at an early age, was a member of the board of the Evangelical Women's Association of Switzerland (today Evangelical Women in Switzerland ), co-president of the editorial committee of the ecumenical journal steps into the open, and co-president of the Protestant women's aid St. Gallen. In St. Gallen she is active in refugee work - both as a board member of the Solidarity House in St. Fiden and as a volunteer German teacher at the Integra school. Marianne Jehle-Wildberger is the mother of two sons.
