Frank Jehle
Frank Jehle (born September 9, 1939 in Zurich ) is a Swiss Protestant Reformed theologian , religion teacher, university pastor, lecturer, author and speaker.
Life
After studying theology in Zurich, Tübingen and at the San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, California, Frank Jehle first went to the parish office in Grub AR. From 1970 he was a religion teacher at the canton school and teacher training college in Sargans . In 1981 he received his doctorate as Dr. theol. at the University of Zurich . From 1982 to 2004 he was university pastor and lecturer for Protestant theology at the University of St Gallen .
He is a lecturer and preacher. As a publicist , he works on questions of religious education , historical and systematic theology and questions of ethics . He also made himself available to his church as a member of the Synod and as Synod President, as well as a member of the examination board of the Evangelical Reformed Churches in German-speaking Switzerland and from 1990 first as a member and then for eleven years as co-president of the Evangelical / Roman Catholic Discussion Commission Switzerland. From 2001 to 2007 he was radio preacher for DRS2 . He is married to the historian Marianne Jehle-Wildberger and has two adult sons.
