Marianne Sandig

Marianne Sandig , née Kisler (born December 30, 1941 in Bad Salzungen , † June 25, 2005 ) was a German trade unionist ( FDGB ). She was the last chairman of the land, food and forest union in the GDR .

Life

Sandig, daughter of a working class family, attended elementary school and completed an apprenticeship as a skilled worker for sheep and cattle breeding. She became a member of the Free German Trade Union Federation (FDGB) and the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). She finished her visit to the agricultural college in Oranienburg in 1965 as a certified farmer. She joined the circle of Agriculture Oranienburg and was 1972-1974 mayor in Lehnitz . From 1974 she was the full-time BGL chairman at the state forestry company Oranienburg. She was also the chief forester .

From March 27, 1982 (4th Central Conference of Delegates) she was a member of the secretariat of the Central Executive Committee of the Land, Food and Forestry Union. From December 1989 to March 1990 she acted as chairwoman of the labor secretariat and from March to September 1990 as chairwoman of the Land, Food and Forestry union. From May 1990 she belonged with Peter Rothe and Peter Praikow to the spokesman's council of the FDGB. She then became an employee of the " Hans Böckler Foundation ". From August 1991, she was organizing secretary in the DGB circle Neuruppin and from 1996 assistant in the DGB country district of Berlin-Brandenburg .

Marianne Sandig most recently worked as chairwoman of the administrative board of the AOK for the state of Brandenburg. She died at the age of 63.
