Mariano Bogliacino , full name Mariano Adrián Bogliacino Hernández , (born June 2, 1980 in Colonia del Sacramento ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Club career

Career start in Uruguay

The midfielder began his career in his Uruguayan homeland in the youth teams of Plaza Colonia and Villa Española . In 1999 he was in the squad of the then second division Villa Española and in 2000 moved to Plaza Colonia within the Segunda División . In the following season he qualified with the team for the highest league in Uruguayan football and was one of the top performers. After another year at Plaza Colonia, he moved to Club Atlético Peñarol in 2003 after a total of 41 matches completed for the club (eleven goals) . The Montevideans signed a loan agreement until the end of the year. There he belonged in the Apertura and Clausura to the squad of the Aurinegros , for which he is said to have been used eight times in the Primera División in the Clausura . That year the Montevideans became Uruguayan champions. In August 2003, however, he signed with the Spanish club UD Las Palmas . However, since at that time only four games of the Clausura 2003 with participation of Peñarol had taken place, the indication of eight appearances in that half series seems questionable.

Change to Europe

The move to Las Palmas was carried out on loan for a year. A year later, the transfer was followed by the Italian third division SS Sambenedettese Calcio , where the midfielder made it into the trunk of cadres and the fourth as Serie C1 for the play-offs for promotion to the Serie B qualified. In two games in which Bogliacino contributed a goal, Sambenedettese was defeated 3-1 in the overall score against SSC Napoli and thus missed promotion. The Uruguayan was then transferred to Naples in the summer of 2005 and rose to Serie A with Napoli for the 2007/08 season . In July 2010 it was loaned to AC Chievo Verona , and the club was also given a purchase option. He spent the 2011/12 season at AS Bari in Serie B. In the 2012/13 season he was under contract with US Lecce in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione . During that season he played 26 league games there, scored ten goals and finished second with his team. He was also used in four play-off games, where he scored another goal. In the 2013/14 season he was on the field 22 times (six goals). In addition, he was involved in five play-off games without a personal goal. In the 2014/15 season he played twelve times (two goals) in the league. He then moved within Italy to Martina Franca , where he was used 16 times (no goal) in the league until his last appearance on December 20, 2015. At the beginning of February 2016 he returned to Uruguay and joined Plaza Colonia . There he played in eleven first division games (no goal) by the end of the season and was runner-up with the Uruguayan club. In the 2016 season, he played 14 league games (one goal) and two games (no goal) in the 2016 Copa Sudamericana .

National team

Bogliacino was part of the Uruguayan team that participated in the Pan American Games in 1999 , but did not survive the preliminary round.
