Marid Kamiljewitsch Mutalimow (Марид Камильевич Муталимов; born February 22, 1980 in Makhachkala , Dagestani ASSR ) is a Kazakh freestyle wrestler in the class up to 120 kg (super heavyweight).
Mutalimov first appeared internationally at the Asian Games in New Delhi in 2003 when he won the bronze medal. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens he was defeated in the semifinals to the Iranian Alireza Rezaei and in the battle for the bronze medal to the Turkish Aydın Polatçı . In 2005 and 2006 he was Asian champion, 2007 and 2008 second.
At the 2008 Summer Olympics he reached the semifinals, in which he was defeated by the later second-placed Russian Bakhtiyar Akhmedov . Mutalimow then went against the Iranian Fardin Masoumi , the winner of the round of hope, and won the bronze medal.
At the Asian Games and World Championships Mutalimow has not yet come out on a fifth place.
