Life
The daughter of Julius Perzina and Emmi (née Ehrlich von Treuenstätt) grew up in Vienna and attended a teacher training institute until 1892. After marrying the post office clerk Konrad Hoheisel , the couple first lived in Trieste and Linz . In 1910 the family moved back to Vienna after her husband was transferred. During this time the children Konrad and Emmi were born.
Hoheisel began her commitment to better living conditions for women in Linz. In Vienna she continued her work for the introduction of Mother's Day from 1926 onwards, supported by Marianne Hainisch . In 1928 she became chairwoman of the Austrian Mother's Day Committee and three years later also chaired the Federation of Austrian Women's Associations . In 1934, Hoheisel was elected to the main committee of the women's emergency service. Furthermore, she was actively involved in the consumer league.
After Austria was annexed to the German Reich and the association system was broken up in 1938, its social activities came to an end.
