religion
In 1911 the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales settled in Marienberg.
The Catholic parish is called St. Mary's Assumption. The old church was completely destroyed during the Second World War . In 1953, today's parish church was built on the same site near the monastery.
One of the sights is the former Protestant Church of the Resurrection, which was built in 1957 based on a design by Fritz G. Winter . The altar wall is made entirely of glass, so that the trees behind it and a wooden cross placed outside could be seen. The student chapel in Espoo (Finland) served as a model, and the church at Heimat in Berlin-Zehlendorf, which was also built in 1957, is very similar. The church was divorced in 2013.
