The Roman Catholic Marienkapelle in Hof Baiertal , a district of the community Großrinderfeld in the Main-Tauber district , has been part of the pastoral care unit Großrinderfeld-Werbach since April 1, 1954, which is assigned to the deanery Tauberbischofsheim of the Archdiocese of Freiburg .

history

After a cemetery chapel had already been built in 1868, the residents of Hof Baiertal founded a church fund on December 4, 1893 with a capital of 1,156.75 marks .

Until 1954 Hof Baiertal belonged to the parish of Wenkheim. But after a request on January 10, 1953 by the citizens and residents of Hof Baiertal for re-parish to the parish of St Michael in Großrinderfeld, Archbishop Eurgen Seiderich agrees on October 19, after the state approval was granted on April 1, 1954. Today the cemetery and the chapel of the courtyard are not only owned by the fund, but also by the Catholic parish of Großrinderfeld, which is responsible for maintaining it.

The altar of the chapel was rebuilt in 1968/1970 during the renovation and the flooring, windows, roof and lightning conductors were also replaced. A total of 33,000 DM was offset.
