List of cultural monuments in Großrinderfeld
The list of cultural monuments in Großrinderfeld includes immovable architectural and art monuments from all parts of the municipality of Großrinderfeld (Großrinderfeld with Hof Baiertal , Gerchsheim , Ilmspan and Schönfeld ). The basis for this list is the list of architectural and art monuments published by the Stuttgart Regional Council as of February 15, 2012. The article is part of the higher-level list of cultural monuments in the Main-Tauber district . This list is not legally binding. Legally binding information is only available on request from the Lower Monument Protection Authority of the community of Großrinderfeld.
Small monuments such as wayside shrines, statues and wayside crosses have been preserved in large numbers in the municipality. The reason lies in the agricultural structure that has existed since the Middle Ages. In modern times there was no densification of settlement and industry as in the metropolitan areas, so that these cultural monuments were largely preserved in the open air .

Small monument No. 16 (Ilmspan): Cross with Savior. The cross with the Savior is set into the wall of the house. It protrudes only 1.5 cm in the upper area and about 4 cm at the base. The wayside shrine was originally located directly in front of the house wall. In the course of a house renovation, the cross was embedded in the house wall. The protective copper roof was also removed. The reason for this was the better protection of the monument, even without a roof, and an additional widening of the walkway.
