Location of the junction "Gerchsheim"
  • A 81 - The federal highway 81 (from Würzburg to Gottmadingen ) runs through parts of the municipality. With the junction Gerchsheim (junction 2) there is a nearby motorway exit, which curiously, however, is not in the district of Gerchsheim of the same name. The junction triangle Würzburg-West (junction 1) and Gerchsheim (junction 2) are both on the boundary of the Lower Franconian community of Kist in the district of Würzburg . The next connection points in the Main-Tauber district follow with Tauberbischofsheim (connection point 3), Ahorn (connection point 4) and Boxberg (connection point 5).

  • Dr. Kern Gasse - in the Ilmspan district. The street was named after Emmanuel Kern (* July 9, 1883, † January 9, 1963), a priest and honorary citizen of the old community of Ilmspan. In autumn 1944, Kern took over the parish of Ilmspan as the last stage in his eventful life. He worked as a pastor in Ilmspan for 18 years until he died a sudden death. At the same time, Kern had co-administered the neighboring parish of Schönfeld for several years.

Tourist routes

Two well-known holiday routes run through the community of Großrinderfeld . On the one hand the Romantic Road , which leads from Würzburg to Füssen, on the other hand the Siegfriedstraße from Worms to Würzburg.

Biking and hiking trails

There are over 80 kilometers of circular hiking trails in the community of Großrinderfeld. These are described in a book by the Heimat- und Kulturverein Großrinderfeld with the title Legendary and true Großrinderfeld stories . The hiking trails connect culturally significant small monuments.
