Marigny is a village and a former French commune with 2,346 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the canton of Saint-Lô-1 and the arrondissement of Saint-Lô .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former municipalities of Marigny and Lozon were merged into a Commune nouvelle with the name Marigny-Le-Lozon and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Marigny.

geography

The place is about ten kilometers west-southwest of Saint-Lô and about fifteen kilometers east-northeast of Coutances on the Lozon River .
