Marika's Missio is a German documentary directed by Michael Schmitt .

The film celebrated its world premiere at the TWIST Seattle Queer Film Festival and had its German premiere at the Hof International Film Festival 2017. The film was produced by Man on Mars Filmproduktion in coproduction with the University of Television and Film Munich .

Awards

The film was awarded as Best Documentary at the FILMZ Festival of German Cinema in Mainz . The film took second place in the documentary film competition at the 44th International Film Weekend in Würzburg . Marika's Missio has screened at numerous film festivals in Europe, USA, South America, Africa and Australia. In May 2018 the film was nominated for the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Award in the category "Best Documentation".
