Marina Alexandrowa Georgiewa-Nikolowa ( Bulgarian Марина Александрова Георгиева-Николова ; born June 10, 1980 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian short tracker .

Georgiewa-Nikolova made her international debut at the Junior World Championships in 1997. Two years later, she competed in her first World Cup race in Montreal , but was eliminated over 1000 m and 1500 m in the preliminary run. She started at the 1999 Home World Championships in Sofia and won her first international medal in the relay with bronze. At the European Championships in 2000 in Bormio , Georgieva-Nikolova achieved first successes in individual races. Her best result was a fourth place over 500 m, in the all-around event she was seventh. With the relay, she also became European champion for the first time, successfully defending the title a year later in The Hague .

Georgieva-Nikolova participated in the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City . Over 500 m she reached the quarter-finals, over 1500 m she was eliminated in the preliminary run. With the season she achieved a sixth place. At the 2003 World Championships in Warsaw , Georgiewa-Nikolova again won a bronze medal with the relay. In the following years, however, she stepped shorter and took part in only a few competitions.

It was not until the 2006/07 season that she concentrated on the short track again. At the World Cup in Heerenveen she reached a podium in the World Cup for the first time over 1500 m. At the European Championships in Sheffield , she won her first track win in an individual race, she was second in the 1000 m. In the all-around event and over 500 m, she was also fourth. Georgieva-Nikolova was also successful in the 2007/08 season . With the relay she reached a podium in the World Cup in Québec , at the European Championships in Ventspils she won silver. She took part in the Team World Championship with her teammates in Harbin and reached sixth place.

In the 2008/09 season she reached the semi-finals in the World Cup , and at the World Cup in Vienna she was also able to reach the semi-finals over 1500 m. Georgieva-Nikolova started at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver . Over 1500 m she reached the semi-finals, over 500 m she was disqualified. She won her last medal at the 2011 European Championships in Heerenveen, where she was second in the 1000 m and seventh in the all- around event . A year later, at the European Championships in Mladá Boleslav, reaching the semi-finals over 1500 m was her best result.
