Mario Corti (born May 17, 1977 in Radolfzell ) is a German chef.

Career

After training at the Hetzel Hotel am Schluchsee, Mario Corti went to the Markgräfler Hof restaurant in Freiburg im Breisgau in 1999 and to Jean-Claude Bourgueil's three-star restaurant Im Schiffchen in Düsseldorf in 2000 . In 2001, he moved to Bernhard Diers' Restaurant Am Marstall in Munich as Sous Chef , which shortly thereafter was awarded the 2nd star in the Michelin Guide. From 2002 he cooked in the kitchens of the Mandarin Oriental Hotels, first in Mark's Restaurant in Munich, where he became Executive Chef in 2004 and earned his first star in the Michelin Guide. In 2005 he was named “climber of the year” in the magazine and restaurant guide "Der Feinschmecker". In 2008, the "Bertelsmann Guide" was named Chef of the Year. In 2009 he moved to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Singapore as Executive Sous Chef, and in 2010 he moved on to Hong Kong as Executive Chef .

In November 2010 he became Executive Chef at the Hotel Schloss Elmau and master of a total of eight restaurants, including the gourmet restaurant Luce d'Oro, which was awarded a Michelin star from 2010 to 2018. In 2015 he was primarily responsible for the entire culinary arts of the G7 summit held there.

Mario Corti has been Executive Chef since July 1, 2019 and is responsible for all kitchens at the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden .
