Mario Friso

Mario Friso (born in Spiez before 1999 ) is a Swiss right-wing extremist who was previously an anti-fascist . He appeared in the Bernese Oberland as one of the leading neo-Nazis and was active there with the so-called "Free Forces". He was temporarily a member of the board and press spokesman for the Nationally Oriented Swiss Bernese Oberland party.

Left autonomous past

Until the end of 1999 Friso was still active in the Bern antifa scene. He was sometimes the organizer of the first "anti-fascist evening walk". The circumstances that followed that led Friso to change the front are not exactly known. In an interview with the daily newspaper Der Bund , Friso said that his change was the result of “a long, in-depth discussion of various political concepts”.

Political activities

In 2004, extremism took on a new shape in the Bernese Oberland. The Bund Oberland attracted a great deal of attention from the media and the public prosecutor's office, as the Bernese Oberland appeared with great militancy. The activism of the federal Oberland expressed an enormous hostility to Jews, which u. a. on the website as well as on leaflets and other promotions. In August 2006, Mario Friso and his companion Michael Haldimann took over the chairmanship of PNOS Berner Oberland.

In February 2007 Friso held the office of press spokesman for the PNOS federal party . Friso resigned from office at the end of July 2008.

Supraregional and international contacts

For Swiss National Day on August 1, 2005, Friso met on the Rütli with Oliver Kunz , a leading member of the Swiss branch of Blood and Honor , and Philippe Brennenstuhl , a western Swiss Holocaust denier before the celebration early left with the PNOS national board members. From the hack of Friso's mail account it became apparent that he is in close contact with well-known exponents of the Swiss Hammerskins. Hammerskins' contact addresses from Germany and France were also found in Friso's mailbox. He also maintains lively contact with Thomas Gerlach , a member of the West Saxony Hammerskins, Halbe Circle of Friends and the Kampfbund Deutscher Sozialisten (KDS).
