Combat League of German Socialists
The Kampfbund Deutscher Sozialisten (KDS) was a neo-Nazi organization that pursued the strategy of the cross front . Action- and discussion-oriented right-wing extremists united in it . It was founded on May 1st, 1999 in Krimnitz near Lübbenau / Spreewald in Brandenburg . It existed until 2008. Federal chairmen were Thomas Brehl , former deputy of the neo-Nazi symbol figure Michael Kühnen , and Michael Koth , a former functionary of various left-wing groups. The organization published the publications The counterattack and weather lights as well as a few regional publications.
Goals and direction
The group was founded by Michael Koth (Berlin), Thomas Brehl ( Langen ), Michael Thiel (Duisburg) and Frank Huebner (Cottbus) with the aim of creating a "forum for discussion and struggle based on a common commitment to people and state " form. The programmatic basis of the KDS is a self-written revolutionary manifesto .
In particular, the KDS pursued the strategy of the lateral front and tried to bring right and left-wing extremists together. According to his own statements, he wanted to establish a “German socialism” . In the principles of socialist nationalism , “people and homeland” were emphasized, but liberalism and the “ one-world society ” were rejected, and references to the National Socialist ideology of “ blood and soil ” were made.
The organization turned against capitalism and relied on the right of peoples to self-determination . The idea of international socialism with a Marxist character was set back against the right to free self-determination of all peoples in the national and social liberation struggle . Nevertheless, in the course of this, a “national international ” consisting of the “liberated countries” or the national revolutionary cadres of various countries was propagated. In the past, the KDS maintained contacts with the former ambassador of Iraq in Berlin and national revolutionary and national Bolshevik organizations in Russia .
The KDS represented radical anti-Americanism and anti-Zionism , according to its own statements it was justified by the aggressive and occupying foreign policy and the social influence of both states, which they consider harmful. The USA was described as the “mainstay” of the “global madness”. With the beginning of the Iraq war , solidarity with Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi people was called for. Among the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 , the Cologne said KDS member Axel Reitz in the counter-attack :
"Terror had returned to the country from which it took its course: the devil America!"
The organization committed itself to the Chuch'e ideology , the official ideology of North Korea , which is considered a further development of Marxism-Leninism .
The members adopted some symbols from the political left , such as T-shirts that read Socialist . On the original of the party Die Linke there is a red bar above the i , while in the version of the KDS there was also a white point there. It was supposed to symbolize the National Socialist flag, but without the swastika .
resolution
In July 2008 the group was disbanded except for a local association in Berlin-Brandenburg, which worked on the area of the former GDR. Those responsible in the right-wing extremist blog “ Altermedia ” stated the poor political track record after ten years and the failure of the cross-front concept.
