Sebastian Schmidtke (* 1985 in Strausberg ) is a German politician of the right-wing extremist NPD and an activist of the neo - Nazi so - called Autonomous Nationalists .

Sebastian Schmidtke was Deputy Chairman from 2010 to 2012 and from March 4, 2012 to October 8, 2016, Chairman of the Berlin National Association of the NPD. Criminal proceedings

In January 2013, a case of attempted dangerous bodily harm was initiated against Sebastian Schmidtke after he hit a counter-demonstrator in Lingen (Ems) . This procedure was discontinued in November 2013 with the condition to pay 900 euros to the Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation.

Schmidtke was sentenced on December 4, 2013 by the Berlin-Tiergarten District Court to eight months' imprisonment for sedition and violence after the police found legal rock CDs with criminal content in the military store Hexogen, which was operated by Schmidtke at the time . The execution of the sentence was suspended. On January 20, 2016, the Berlin Regional Court overturned the judgment of the Berlin-Tiergarten District Court of December 4, 2013 and acquitted him of the charge of sedition, but sentenced him to a fine of 1,800 euros for violating the Youth Protection Act .

On May 16, 2014, Schmidtke was again convicted of sedition by the Berlin Regional Court, because in 2011 he had compiled the NPD's schoolyard CD and given it for production. The verdict was ten months' imprisonment, which was also suspended.

The district court of Berlin-Tiergarten sentenced Schmidtke on May 19, 2014 to three months imprisonment on probation. Schmidtke had given an affidavit that he had nothing to do with the National Resistance Network ; however, the court assumed that this was not true. The corresponding complaint was made by Udo Wolf .

At the moment (June 2015) another trial with various charges (incitement to hatred , insults , defamation ), in which charges have already been made, is pending against Schmidtke.

In January 2017, a case of incitement to hatred allegedly committed during a rally in front of the State Office for Health and Social Affairs in Berlin was suspended by the Berlin-Tiergarten District Court in order to examine the possibility of a connection with another pending hate speech case. Finally, the case was negotiated separately in June 2018 and Schmidtke was acquitted.

In August 2017, Schmidtke was acquitted of attempted bodily harm by the Halle (Saale) district court.

Others

On the occasion of Operation Protective Edge , Schmidtke announced on his Facebook page that he showed solidarity with “ Palestine and its oppressed people ” and demanded “an end to Zionism ”.
