Mario Parga

Mario Parga (born August 7, 1969 in Lytham , Lancashire , England ) is a rock and heavy metal guitarist. Mario Parga became famous in the late 1980s when he was first mentioned in various rock magazines such as Guitar Player Magazine , Metal Hammer , Kerrang , Metal Forces and played a live guitar solo on MTV 's Metal Hammer show.

In the early 1990s, Mario Parga toured with a variety of artists and was involved in the recording of some of their albums, including Cozy Powell and Graham Bonnet .

1991 was his debut - Instrumental Album The Magician released on the label President Records.

Disenchanted with the music industry, Mario Parga withdrew from the music scene and did not reappear until 1998 when he played guitar on Graham Bonnet's album The Day I Went Mad in Los Angeles .

In June 2000 Mario Parga recorded the piece Valse Diabolique for the album The Alchemists on the Liquid Note Records label.

Two years later, in 2002, Parga released the ballad Hourglass for the Lion Music album Warmth in the Wilderness II , a tribute to Jason Becker .

In 2007 Parga founded his own record label MidnightCafe Music to release future albums there. His long-awaited album Entranced was released on April 14, 2007 on this label.

In 2008 Mario Parga released the single Spirit of Night together with singer Tony Martin .

Mario Parga lives in Las Vegas , Nevada , USA with his wife Shawna and their daughter Skye.

Playing technique

Mario Parga is considered by many to be one of the best arpeggio and ' shred ' guitarists in the neoclassical metal genre. He combines complex arpeggio patterns with fast, alternating - and sweep picking and bending .

Mario Parga was named in the July 2008 issue of the international magazine Guitar World as one of the world's 50 fastest guitarists in alternate picking . A scientific note counting method was used.

In addition to his extreme speed, he is also known as a very emotional player in slow passages.
