Mario Klabin Xavier Romancini (born December 15, 1987 in Telêmaco Borba ) is a former Brazilian racing driver .

Career

Romancini began his motorsport career in karting in 2002 , which he practiced until 2005. In 2006 he moved into the single-seater racing and entered the Brazilian Formula Renault at. He decided a race for himself and was fifth overall. In 2007 Romancini moved to the South American Formula 3 Championship. Starting for Cesário F3 he was two wins behind his teammate Clemente de Faria jr. Runner-up.

In 2008 Romancini moved to Europe and took part in the World Series by Renault for Epsilon Euskadi . He was able to collect points twice and was replaced by Filipe Albuquerque two race weekends before the end of the season due to financial problems . In the overall ranking he finished 29th. He also drove three races in the Stock Car Brasil . In 2009 the Brazilian returned to America and competed in the North American Indy Lights for RLR / Andersen Racing . Romancini won two oval races and finished sixth overall at the end of the season.

In 2010 Romancini started for Conquest Racing in the IndyCar Series . After the eleventh race he was replaced by Francesco Dracone . In the overall standings, he finished 24th with two 13th places as the best results.
