Marion Blondeau

Marion Blondeau (born June 30, 1986 in Saint-Claude , France ) is a French biathlete.

The sports soldier Marion Blondeau lives in Chapelle-des-Bois and has been involved in biathlon since 2000. Four years later, the athlete moved up from the Ski Club Mt Noir in the French national team. She made her international debut in 2004 as Sprint-18. as part of a junior European cup in Méribel . That year she also competed for the first time in the Junior World Championships in Haute-Maurienne and won medals in all four competitions. She won titles in singles and in the relay, silver in the sprint and bronze in the pursuit. Up to the next Junior World Championships in 2005 in Kontiolahti , Blondeau won three Junior European Cup races. In Kontiolahti she again won gold in the relay and silver in the sprint. The next Junior World Championships were also extremely successful. Blondeau won medals again in all four competitions at Presque Isle . Gold in the individual, silver with the relay and in the pursuit and bronze in the sprint. After these successes, she was used for the first time in the Biathlon World Cup at Holmenkollen in Oslo and after a 46th place in the sprint in the pursuit, she won her first World Cup point as 30th. At the Junior European Championships in Langdorf , the Frenchwoman also won bronze in the relay in 2006.

For the 2007/08 season , Blondeau, one of France's greatest hopes in biathlon, was reappointed by the French coaches in the expanded World Cup line-up.
