Marisol Romero
Marisol Guadalupe Romero Rosales (born January 26, 1983 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican long-distance runner .
Career
At the Half Marathon World Championships in Birmingham in 2009 she came in 38th place.
In 2010 she qualified with a second place in a national elimination race in Léon for the marathon of the Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez , in which she won gold. At the Half Marathon World Championships in Nanning , she finished 22nd.
The following year she won the Central American and Caribbean Championships over 5000 m and celebrated a double triumph over 5000 m and 10,000 m at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara .
In 2012 she qualified by winning the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera for the Olympic Games in London , where she finished 46th. At the Half Marathon World Championships in Kawarna she came in 35th place.
In 2013 she won the Guadalajara Half Marathon, defended her 5000 m title at the Central American and Caribbean Championships and finished eleventh over 10,000 m at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow .
