Marith Müller-Prießen (* 17th December 1990 in Kempen as Marith Prießen ) is a German football player .

Career

Marith Prießen's career began at TSV Wachtendonk / Wankum . In 2003 she moved to SV Walbeck in a girls' team. From there she was brought to Duisburg by the then junior trainer André Birker. When she arrived at FCR, she immediately became the captain of the U-17 team. After the acclimatization season, she was pulled up early in the second women's team of the FCR and made it to the second division with this team . In the same season she was with the U-17 German champion of the B-Juniors . At the beginning of 2007 she signed a three-year contract for the Bundesliga team and fought for a regular place in the first team. In the game on December 2, 2007 against 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam , she suffered a cruciate ligament rupture and had to take a six-month break.

For the 2010/11 season Prießen moved together with Eunice Beckmann from FCR 2001 Duisburg to Bayer 04 Leverkusen . There she scored the first Bundesliga goal for Bayer 04 in the game against VfL Wolfsburg . In total, she played 77 games in four seasons as a regular in Leverkusen. In May 2014 Prießen signed a two-year contract with the German runner-up 1. FFC Frankfurt, valid from July 1, 2014 . She has been the FFC captain since the 2017/18 season. In the summer of 2019, she is leaving Frankfurt prematurely after five years to go abroad. She signed a one-year contract with the French first division club Paris FC for the 2019/20 season .

National team

On April 18, 2006 Prießen made his debut in the U-17 national team against Denmark. On September 15, 2006, she scored her first and so far only goal in a game against Canada. In total, she played 16 times for the DFB's U-17 team. For the U-19 selection , she played eight games. With the German U-20 national team , she became world champion in her own country in 2010 . On September 30, 2010 she made her debut for the U-23 national team in the international match against England .

Personal

Marith Prießen attended the Vera Beckers vocational college in Krefeld until June 2010 and successfully passed the training course for recreational sports director and the general university entrance qualification. In June 2013 she also successfully completed her commercial training. She aims to study economics. Since November 2012 Prießen has been in a relationship with soccer player Markus Müller , whom she married in June 2019. Since then she has had the double name Müller-Prießen.
