Mark Bouman

Mark Bouman (born June 30, 1968 in The Hague ) is a British costume designer .

Life

Bouman studied at the Wimbledon School of Art . He is active in speaking pieces and music theater as well as in film and television .

At Glyndebourne Festival Opera , he was responsible for the costumes for Peter Sellars ' Idomeneo production and for David McVicar's La Bohème production. He has also worked for Garsington , the Teatro Comunale di Bologna , the Lyric Opera of Chicago , the Granada Festival and the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto and the English Touring Opera .

In the field of spoken theater , Bouman was hired by numerous well-known institutions in his home country, but also by the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. He has worked and works for numerous productions for the BBC , Channel 4 , independent film productions, pop videos and advertising - both as a stylist and as a costume designer.

At the 2015 Salzburg Festival , he designed the costumes for the Sven Eric Bechtolf production of Le nozze di Figaro .
