Mark Willingham Gantt IV (born December 10, 1968 in Stockton , California ) is an American actor , director , screenwriter and film producer .
life and career
Mark Gantt is from Stockton, California, where he was born into a family of lawyers. He first got his foot in the entertainment industry through engagements in the Art Department while taking acting classes with Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse .
Gantt has been an actor since 1997. He was first seen in a small role in the movie Volcano: Hotter Than Hell . Other film roles followed, for example with Straight Right , Ocean's Eleven and Charlie 's Angels - Full Power . In addition to his film appearances, Gantt can be seen regularly as a guest actor in television series, including Buffy - The Vampire Slayer , Zeit der Sehnsucht , Without a Trace - Vanished without a trace , Alias - The Agent , The Shield - Law of Violence , Dexter , Bluff , American Horror Story , The Arrangement or Criminal Minds .
In 2009, the publication of the web series The Bannen Way followed , in which until 2010, 16 episodes were broadcast in a length of 5–8 minutes. Gantt himself was involved in the project as an inventor, leading actor, producer and screenwriter. In 2010 he was awarded two trophies for his achievement at the 2nd Streamy Awards , the award that annually honors the best US web series, while the series was nominated for three other awards. As inspiration for the series, Gantt cites his family background as the son of a family of lawyers.
In addition to his work in front of the camera, Gantt is an acting teacher at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, where he himself was once taught.
